From Queen Nefertiti to George Washington Carver, Duke Ellington, Ketanji Brown Jackson and Kamala Harris, this show presents the vital role African Americans play in American history.

SPOOKY STORIES: Hansel and Gretel
SEPTEMBER 27, 12PM AND 2PM
Express kicks off this year's Halloween Celebration at Children's Museum Houston with our one-person adapatation of the classic story about a brother and sister who trust an old woman in the woods only to discover she's a witch in disguise! It's just the right amount of spooky for the little ones, with some great life lessons about Stranger Danger.
Regular admission to the musuem gets you this show and all the wonderful exhibits that the BOO!SEUM has to offer! A great way to start the Spooky season for the whole family!​​
SANTA'S LITTLE HELPER

When the Winter Witch casts a wintry spell on Christmas Eve that buries the land in snow, a young girl teams up with Santa to try and save the holiday. Hint: The power of generosity can melt even the coldest of hearts!

Surprise the kids with a visit from Santa! This 45-minute, one-person, interactive show features The Holly Jolly Man himself bringing a sackful of holiday fun to children! He’ll lead singalongs of Santa songs, teach kids the meaning of generosity and good will and give every kid a holiday sticker. Everyone can take a photo with him, too!

Internationally renowned artist Frida Kahlo is magically transported from Mexico in the 1940s to the present day to lead an art class for Houston families. Everyone will learn about Frida and get a chance to make self-portraits. We supply all the materials including crayons and colored pencils. No mess! Great for kids of all ages and fun for the whole family. Take home you work and display it proudly for all to see!​

This 45-minute, one-person, interactive show uses inspiring songs, kid-friendly poetry and simple games to help children identify and manage their emotions and build confidence and self-esteem. Designed for ages PreK-5th, the show is fast, fun and teaches kids musical songs and phrases they can repeat for themselves when they’re feeling challenged by life.

Pirate Pete

To make up for his pirating past, Pirate Pete travels the world doing good deeds with the help of kids in the audience. Featuring singalongs, world culture, basic geography and a chance for kids to explore the meaning of apologies and making things right. An interactive experience of the power of peace, generosity and helpfulness. 45 minutes.
