It is with profound sadness that the Board of Express Children’s Theatre share the passing of our beloved Executive Director, Tim Fried-Fiori.

For more than a decade, Tim was a passionate advocate for the arts and a visionary leader of Express Children’s Theatre. His work transformed our productions into interactive experiences that delighted children and families across Houston. His unwavering commitment to making the arts accessible to all children will continue to inspire us for years to come.

As we enter our 35th year, the Board remains dedicated to carrying forward and expanding Tim’s vision — creating engaging, multicultural theatre experiences that teach, inspire, and bring joy to young audiences.

Plans to honor Tim’s life and contributions will be shared soon. In lieu of flowers or cards, we invite you to honor Tim with a financial donation of your choosing to help continue the legacy he built for the children of Houston. We extend our deepest sympathies to Tim’s family, friends, colleagues, and to all whose lives he touched. His spirit lives on in every play, performance, and residency that brings joy and meaning to children for generations to come.
